Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a site listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The volcanic crater, with an area of 260 sqkm and a depth of 610 m, is part of the larger conservation area covering about 8,300 sqkm.

It counts many remarkable features – while being famous for its density of wildlife, one should not disregard the importance of the paleontological discoveries of Louis and Mary Leakey in the Olduvai Gorge area.
