This safari offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in some of Kenya’s most unique wildernesses and to share your time with baby, young and adult elephants in addition to other wildlife and birds.

The strong points of this safari are to:

– live in immersion in preserved eco-systems with the freedom of a privatised 4×4 vehicle with an English speaking guide specialised in driving photographers

Day 1: Arrival at Nairobi

Arrive at Nairobi – Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, greet and transfer to Macushla House for the night. Half board.

Day 2: Karen and Nairobi

Pick up from the guest house at 09:00 for the morning excursions, starting with the Giraffe centre.

Drive to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust – Elephant Orphanage for 11:00.

Following these close encounters with wildlife, stop for a lunch (free) in Karen before heading to the Nairobi National Museum in the afternoon.

Return to Macushla House for the night. Half board.

Day 3: From Karen to Tsavo East

Breakfast and departure by road to the Northern zone of Tsavo East National Park.

Lunch « en route » and arrive in the afternoon at Ithumba Elephant Camp.

Afternoon visit to Ithumba Unit of the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.

Night at Ithumba Elephant Camp. Exclusive use, full board. Game drives included.

Day 4 and day 5: Ithumba and elephants

These days are dedicated to wildlife viewing and photography with a particular focus on the orphan elephants that the Ithumba Unit of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust re-introduces to living in the wild, as well as the wild elephants of the park.

Night at Ithumba Elephant Camp. Exclusive use, full board. Game drives included.

Day 6: From Ithumba to the Galana River

After breakfast, drive to the Southern area of Tsavo East National Park.

Game drive and pique-nique « en route ».

The track follows the Galana River and allows to arrive at the camp in the afternoon.

Night at Satao Camp. Full Board. Game drives included.

Day 7: Galana River

This day will be dedicated to wildlife viewing and photography with a particular focus on the elephants, hippos, birds and other fauna living close the Galana River.

Night at Satao Camp. Full Board. Game drives included.

Day 8: From Tsavo East to Tsavo West and Amboseli National Park

Drive to the Amboseli National Park via Tsavo West to maximise the opportunities to observe and photography wildlife and take advantage of the scenery.

Game drive and pique-nique « en route », and arrival at Ol Tukai Lodge in the afternoon.

Night at Ol Tukai Lodge. Full Board. Game drives included.

Day 9 and day 10: Amboseli National Park

These days will also be dedicated to wildlife viewing and photography with a particular focus on the famously large elephants of Amboseli National Park as well as its birdlife and big cats.

Night at Ol Tukai Lodge . Full board. Game drives included.

Day 11: From Amboseli National Park to Nairobi

After a last morning in the park, drive back to Nairobi with game drive and pique-nique « en route ».

Arrive in Nairobi at the end of the afternoon, transfer to Heron Hotel to freshen up (day room, close to the airport).

Transfer to Nairobi – Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your return flight.

Indicative price :

On the basis of 4 participants sharing two double or twin rooms or tents:

. from £4,870 per person for the months of March, and

. from £5,480 per person for the months of February and from July to October.

The final budget will be communicated after establishing a personalised quotation that will depend on the exchange rates at the time.

– 2 nights in Nairobi at Macushla House (hotel 3*): one night as bed & breakfast and one night as half board

– 3 nights at Ithumba Elephant Camp in Tsavo East National Park. Exclusive use tented camp with private en-suite bathroom and toilets, full board accommodation

– 2 nights at Satao Camp in Tsavo East National Park, tented camp with private en-suite bathroom and toilets, full board accommodation

– 3 nights at Ol Tukai Lodge in Amboseli National Park, chalet-style rooms with private en-suite bathroom

– 1 day room in Nairobi at the Heron Hotel (hotel 3***)

– Sharing twin/double tents, hotel or lodge rooms

– Visas to be purchased at arrival in Kenya (€ 40 / person in cash, indicative, subject to changes)

– Meals not mentioned or mentioned as “free” in the itinerary (lunch in Karen on day 2)
