Expedition cruise along the coast of Spitzbergen
Give yourself the best chances to admire the pristine and frozen landscapes of Svalbard and observe its wildlife on the icefloe or the snow ashore, under the midnight sun, by joining this cruise during the early or middle part of the season.
The highlights of this trip are the following:
– sail along the most spectacular coast of Svalbard and discover its glaciers and icebergs when the snow is still present, allowing you to immerse yourself in the dramatic Arctic atmosphere
– appreciate the diversity of this cruise and, conditions permitting, its superb opportunities to observe a variety of seals, birds, walruses, foxes, reindeers and the emblematic polar bears
– benefit from the limited size of the ice-strengthened vessel that allows you to enter fjords that few ships can access, multiplying your chances to observe polar bears
– experience the continuous polar daylight and take pictures with a very unique light and feel
– appreciate the numerous zodiac excursions which get you very close to the wildlife or allow you walk on the tundra

Day 1: Arrival in Longyearbyen
Arrive at Longyearbyen in the evening, meet and great and transfer to your hotel.
Night at Radisson Blu Hotel. Bed and Breakfast.
Day 2: Embarkment on M/S Quest
Breakfast and morning visit to Longyearbyen and its Arctic Museum and opportunity to shop for any missing item.
Lunch at the Radisson Blu hotel and embark on M/S Quest in the afternoon.
This is the start of a journey in a part of the world totally dependent on ice and weather conditions. The exact itinerary depends on these factors and on the wildlife that is encountered.
Night on board the M/S Quest. Full board and activities included.
Day 3 to day 8 or day 10: Svalbard
Sail along the western cost of Svalbard.
Night on board the M/S Quest. Full board and activities included.

The exact route of M/S Quest will depend on ice, weather conditions and wildlife. The places mentioned are just examples of some of the many sites Svalbard has to offer. Our partner and the expedition crew and leader always strive to maximise the experience. Please remember that flexibility is important to a successful expedition.
– All privatised transfers between Longyearbyen airport and the hotel in Longyearbyen, and the transfers as a group to the ship and return
– 1 night in Longyearbyen at the Radisson Blu hotel (3*** or equivalent), full board
– 7 or 9 nights cruising onboard the ice-strengthened expedition ship M/S Quest, in a cabin with en-suite shower room, full board.
– All the activities on board M/S Quest, including zodiac excursions, tundra walks, natural history conferences, etc.
– The compensation of 100% of the carbon emissions of this cruise
