Salar de Chiguana

Considering the immensity of the Bolivian Altiplano, the Salar de Chiguana (at an altitude of 3,700 metres) is a relatively small salt plain measuring 12 x 15 kilometres. It is surrounded by volcanoes five thousand metres high behind the white plains, which makes it a highly picturesque stop en route.
