Moremi Game Reserve

Moremi Game Reserve, located in the Delta of the Okavango and covering almost a quarter of its land surface, is one of the prime wildlife areas in Southern Africa.

Its landscape is lush and varied – a patchwork of lagoons, shallow flooded pans, plains and forests. Wildlife to be found in the area includes lion, leopard, wild dog, giraffe, zebra, elephant, and impala. The animals found here are numerous and relaxed, often allowing vehicles to approach closely.

You may choose to take an optional extra 3 hour boat cruise on the last day in Moremi. The boat cruise leaves from Xakanaxa in Moremi and heads out into the Delta for a few hours. This is a nice change from a game drive but is not intended as a game viewing experience. It is more to experience the scenery of the Delta and it is also good for birding. The boat cruise can be booked on confirmation of the trip.
