Galana River
The Southern area of Tsavo East National Park is characterised by the presence of the beautiful Galana River which is part of the second longest river in Kenya.
Its waters, combined with the Doum Palm trees that grow on its banks, form an ideal setting for the observation and photography of elephants when they go and play in the water, as well as for the birds nesting nearby.
