El Calafate

El Calafate is a small town of 22,000 inhabitants founded in the early part of the 20th century at the extreme South of Patagonia and the province of Santa Cruz. It is located very close to the border with Chile and best known for being one of the southern entry points of Patagonia and the starting point of explorations of the neighbouring glaciers.
