Ziwa Sanctuary
Ziwa Sanctuary currently has 22 white rhinos, and it is the only place in Uganda where it is possible to observe these animals in their natural environment up close and in person, which is an unforgettable experience. Trekking on foot with rangers and armed guides through the 70 sq km of rolling terrain and forest, visitors keep a close eye out for rhinos, which have thrived here since their arrival in 2004 and 2005.
Once the rhinos are a few feet away, visitors can interact with them for an hour to learn about their way of life in detail.
