Gabbra

The tribe of the Gabbra, which counts approx. 20,000 members, is of uncertain origin but is most likely related to the Borona and the Somali.

The Gabbra are divided into groups; Alban, Galbo and Garc themselves divided into sub-groups. They have highly mobile villages that move once or twice a year over distances up to 200 km. These movements are primarily dependent on conditions and resources necessary for their camels, without which the Gabbra could not survive.
