The Tsara Camp – Hotel Tsaranoro is a tented camp on the highlands of Madagascar, in the south-central part of the island. The camp is in the middle of the Tsaranoro valley, surrounded by Mount Tsaranoro (1,910m altitude / 800m altitude from the valley floor), Mount Caméléon (1,540m altitude / 600m altitude from the valley floor) and the mountain range marking the beginning of Andringitra National Park. The camp enjoys a beautiful setting illuminated by red and ochre lights, rather like a Western setting!
Located below the camp, the restaurant serves buffet breakfasts, prepares picnics, and its European cuisine with Malagasy connotations is tasty and plentiful.
The lounge area, in the centre of the camp, is the ideal place to share an aperitif or read a book. It is decorated with wooden totems “Alohalo”, carved by a traditional technique of the ethnic Zafimaniry.
The camp proposes 15 tents arranged in a semi-circle, all equipped with double or twin beds with mosquito net, individual sanitary facilities (with open shower) with water available 24/24 and heated by solar energy, wardrobe, office area, terrace with view of the Andringitra National Park. Electricity is generated by a silent generator that provides electricity from 6H to 8H in the morning and from 17H to 22H in the evening.
