Sunshine Hotel

Sunshine Hotel is an eco-friendly beach hotel located in Matemwe, on the north-east coast of Zanzibar. It is a stylish and cosy hotel directly on the enormous sand beach at the southern end of Matemwe village. It offers great value for money and allows guests to rest and relax on the unspoiled white sandy beach, lined with palm trees and washed by warm, turquoise waters of Indian Ocean.

As often with newer hotels, it is not located on a very wide plot but it is well-conceived. Its front area, with interconnecting pools, bar/restaurant and beachfront is very pleasant and very tidy.

In every room guests find a comfortable queen size bed with large mosquito net, private bathroom with shower and toilet, effective ceiling fan, strong standing fan, small bedside fan, safe deposit box, stone bench covered with cushions, wooden wardrobe, cool ambient lights, spacious balcony or veranda. All rooms are doubles and in all the Sunshine Suites it is possible to add one extra bed.

The diving in the area is excellent and there is a wide range of marine and other activities available.
