Refugio Laguna Amarga

The Refugio Laguna Amarga is located about 2 km from the Laguna Amarga gate of the National Park of Torres del Paine, in a place with an unobstructed panoramic view on the Towers of the Cordillera del Paine on one side, and the emerald waters of Laguna Amaraga on the other side. This allows guests to enjoy stunning views on the Towers del Paine at dawn and at dusk.

Its cozy restaurant is of a cafe style with a traditional ‘quincho’ grill area and serving good Chilean food.

The main building is an old farm house with 10 independent bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, and an outbuilding with 7 bunk bedrooms, with communal shower rooms and WC facilities. There is central heating at the property as well as electric light from 6am to midnight, however there is no GSM signal reception or internet access.

Refugio Laguna Amarga offers convenient accommodation for guests who want to stay off the beaten tracks and have a particular interest in the eastern side of the national park.
