Pousada Piuval

Pousada Piuval is located 110 km from Cuiabá and 10 km from the town of Poconé. Its lodge is part of a 7,000 hectare cattle ranch in the heart of the Pantanal.

The lodge has simple yet comfortable guest rooms with air conditioning and ceiling fans, private bathrooms and screened-in windows providing fresh air. There is a terrace area outside the rooms with hammocks, chairs and tables, all overlooking the extensive savannah that surrounds the lodge.

There is also a restaurant that serves typical Pantanal meals, a large television with satellite, a swimming pool and playground equipment.

The activities proposed include walking, horseriding, boat trips, and observation tower and truck excursions to observe the local wildlife that includes caimans, capibaras, monkeys, herons, jabirus, birds of prey, iguanas, etc.

When not on an excursion, guests can relax by or in the pool, or laze in a hammock looking out onto the savannah.
