Paradisier Hotel

The Paradisier Hotel is located in a beautiful setting of golden dunes by the beach near the small village of Vezo d’Ifaty, in the south of Madagascar. Surrounded by lush shrubs and overlooking a white sand beach washed by turquoise waters, the place is ideal for sunbathing under the fringe of palm trees.

The hotel is built of local stone, rosewood, and thatch, and is largely solar powered.

There are 20 well-designed bungalows also built of stone and thatch. Each is equipped with a safe deposit box and includes hot water, a ceiling fan, and electricity generated by solar and wind power. Each bungalow at Paradisier Hotel has a private bathroom, and a private veranda overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Le Paradisier Hotel has an excellent restaurant, overlooking the ocean, which beautifully presents a delicious blend of French, Italian and Malagasy cuisines, all accompanied by wines from South Africa. It offers a daily menu with three choices, as well as a small à la carte menu.

Activities

The activities are varied, ranging from total relaxation by the infinity pool – with massages and walks along the beach – to more sporty activities such as mountain biking, canoeing on the lagoon, snorkeling, scuba diving, horseback riding and fishing.

For those guests wishing to explore the area, walks in the surrounding deciduous forests are a great option as they are home to an impressive variety of frogs, lemurs, butterflies, and birds – there are even colorful chameleons to spot!

Sea whale watching tours are also offered during whale-crossing season, which is June through November.
