Okutala Etosha Lodge is privately owned, and is also a wildlife rehabilitation centre, allowing visitors to encounter resident animals – such as a giraffe that occasionally comes for a walk by the pool.
The common areas include a bar and a restaurant, which are the setting for good meals, and these spaces open onto a terrace overlooking a water point. An adjacent swimming pool allows you to cool off and Wi-Fi internet access is available.
The lodge has 21 rooms, each contained in a raised wooden and stone structure. They are air conditioned and pleasantly furnished, with bedside tables, lighting or a small lamp just above the headboard, a desk and chair, a wardrobe or other storage space, and a separate sitting area. The adjoining bathrooms include a flush toilet, twin sinks with mirrors, and a walk-in shower. Additional amenities include mosquito nets, tea and coffee making facilities, and hair dryers. And each room has access to a private patio to relax and enjoy beautiful views of the reserve.
