Nkasa Lupala Tented Lodge

Built on the banks of one of the many channels of the Kwando–Linyanti river system, this unique Namibian wetland paradise in the eastern Caprivi Region, commonly known as Mamili, was recently renamed Nkasa Lupala National Park.

Nkasa Lupala Tented Lodge is located on the northern unfenced park border in the Wuparo Conservancy that is part of the successful and award-winning Namibian conservation program followed by IRDNC and WWF. Nkasa Lupala National Park is famous for its large herds of elephants and buffaloes. Its high population of game attracts all major predators.

The lodge offers 10 luxurious tents on stilts with en-suite bathroom facilities offering hot water generated by solar power. The tents allow a superb eco-friendly and personalized safari experience. There is one Honeymoon Tent and one Family Tent, and guests can savour their eyes on herds of buffaloes and elephants from the tent decks.

The lodge’s spacious and comfortable lounge and dining area is built on a raised deck offering breathtaking views across the channel and floodplains. Game drives to the Mamili National Park, as well as to the Mudumu National Park, depart in the afternoon and mornings, offer fantastic game viewing opportunities surrounded by wilderness -animals include lions, leopards, hyenas and sometimes wild dogs. There have been over 400 bird species recorded within the park, making this a birder’s dream adventure. Sundowner boat cruises, mokoro trips and guided walks ensure a complete experience for guests staying longer than one night.
