Lake Baringo Island Camp

Lake Baringo Island Camp is the second oldest tented camp in Kenya and is situated on the southern end of Ol Kokwe Island, which is the largest island in the middle of Lake Baringo.

The site of the camp is originally an archaeological dig site of the famous Leakey family. The very central position of the camp makes it an ideal place for the exploration of the lake and the observation of its wildlife. As the camp is built on a hill, the tents are perched on rocky outcrops or under trees and most offer a clear view over the lake.
