Kungwe Beach Lodge

Kungwe Beach Lodge is located along a stretch of golden sandy beach in the shade of the tropical Mahale forest, with stunning views of the crystal clear waters of Lake Tanganyika.

The camp itself is a pleasantly stylish and simple affair, with simple and friendly service.

A huge banda built in the form of a boat Dhow is where most meals are served. It also covers a comfortable living room, with a small selection of books and games for lazy afternoons.

With their own camp staff to guide through the forest, guests visit the same chimp groups as the famous Greystoke Mahale Camp, with the same park rangers but with visits at different times.
