Kigelia Camp is located on the Ifuguru River, near the confluence of the Mwagusi River and the Ruaha River.
This camp combines the simplicity of a temporary tent camp with the style visitors might expect from a permanent camp.
Beige canvas is used for the main mess tent, and at one end is a seating area with screened sides, making it a cool and airy place to relax. The furniture has a natural and rustic touch, with African motifs and patterned decoration to add style and a warm atmosphere. At the other end of the tent is a large table where breakfasts and lunches are usually served, plus sometimes dinners – although these can also be served in one of the many places under the stars.
With the same beige canvas as the common areas, the guest tents are well integrated into the surroundings. They are designed with a simple elegance and a natural feel. Inside, rugs line the floor while natural woods and pale colours lend understated yet rustic elegance. A comfortable king-size bed (which can be separated to form two single beds) is flanked by bedside tables with solar lamps. A large, lockable wooden chest can be used to store valuables.
Each tent has its own bathroom with flush toilet and outdoor shower, highlighting the camping experience.
