Ikuka Safari Camp is located in Ruaha National Park, high on the Northern escarpment.
Ikuka means waterfall in Kihehe, a Bantu language spoken in the region.
The camp is one of Ruaha National Park’s newest additions, and with just 6 guest bandas it is also one of the most intimate camps. The main communal banda consists of leather seating areas, a well-stocked bar, facing the incredible views over the park, an airy dining space, an upstairs library/wifi and chill-out area complete with floor cushions, plus an infinity swimming pool for those warm Ruaha afternoons!
The 6 spacious, landscape styled guest bandas are incorporated into the escarpment, and are made of local stone, thatch and wooden decks.
Each banda has a landscape design with a centrally positioned sleeping area that can be opened to enjoy the views or fully closed with mesh doors and linen curtains.
Each room has a comfortable seating area to one side and a bathroom, complete with double basins, on the other side. The front area of the bandas boasts a large wooden deck.
