Halisi Camp

Halisi Camp is a mobile seasonal camp that tracks the Great Migration from December to March in the Ndutu area of the Serengeti, and in June to November in Seronera in central Serengeti. This movement offers guests optimal positions with the herds of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes – with the Big Five and the predators that follow the migration – and therefore the best game viewing and photography whilst on safari in northern Tanzania.

Halisi Camp, which derives its name from Hasili which means “authentic” in Swahili, offers an authentic yet comfortable African bush experience thanks to its maximum of 7 tents. Each tent is large – 6 to 7 metres long with a veranda – with a comfortable double bed, and en-suite bathroom with separate chemical toilet. Coffee, tea and biscuits may be requested to be brought to your tent.

These features, combined with the superb quality of the food and the very helpful staff, make it a camp we highly recommend to enjoy the calving season in a close, authentic and comfortable manner, reminiscent of the atmosphere of “Out of Africa”.
