Epiya Chapeyu Tented Safari Camp lies in the heart of the Tsavo East National Park on the banks of the Galana River, at the foot of the Yatta plateau, amongst Doum Palms and Acacia trees in harmony with the local indigenous African landscape and vegetation.
Magnificent views overlooking the Galana River, where a wide variety of animals come to drink, can be enjoyed from the tents as well as from a wooden terrace. Catering facilities offer Italian cuisine – with a variety of dishes and fresh, homemade pastas. The camp is renowned for its candlelit dinners and a “friendly” elephant who visits from time to time.
The 18 spacious and simple tents are spread across a large riverside area, offering each guest accommodation with optimum privacy. Each tent has its own veranda with view of the river.
The tents are all fixed on local flagstone bases, are protected with typical makuti roofs, and offer comfortable beds, wardrobe, safari chairs, a coffee table, modern en suite bathroom with double sinks, hot water, shower and flush toilet and all necessary amenities such as candles, matches, torches, etc.
