Bougainvillea Safari Lodge

Bougainvillea Safari Lodge was created by a local farmer and a chef who identified the potential of a simple but comfortable and friendly guest house in Karatu. Thus was born this lodge of 32 stone bungalows, well-spaced in landscaped gardens, which also have a sparkling blue pool.

The bungalows are quiet, spacious, and simple but comfortably furnished. The rooms have beds with mosquito nets, a fireplace, a large bathroom and toilet, plus they all have their own veranda from which to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the gardens.

The main stone and wood building houses the reception, a small souvenir shop, a bar, and a restaurant that serves good meals made with fresh ingredients purchased from the local community.

Bougainvillea Safari Lodge is a pleasant stopover in Karatu, providing quiet, clean, good value accommodation.
