Belmond Hotel das Cataratas is a grand colonial-style hotel. It is the hotel closest to the Iguazu Falls (indeed, it is a 2-minute stroll away from the awe-inspiring falls), and the only hotel in the Brazilian National Park. Guests at the hotel enjoy exclusive access to the 275 falls (depending on the time of year) as, although the falls are mostly in Argentina, the views from the Brazilian side are all encompassing and spectacular.

The hotel features two swimming pools, a kids club, an archery area, a bar and grill, two restaurants, internet, look-out point over the falls, tennis court and volleyball. Ipê Grill serves a delicious buffet breakfast in the morning and a barbecue in the evening, offering a variety of tender meats and tasty side dishes. Itaipu is a fine dining restaurant serving a mix of Braziilan-international fusion dishes.
