A unique itinerary to discover the fascinating birds and wildlife of Kenya!

Day 1: Arrival at Nairobi

Arrival at Nairobi – Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, greet and transfer to Macushla House for overnight. Bed & Breakfast.

Day 2: From Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

After your breakfast, departure by road to Lake Naivasha where you will arrive in time for your lunch at Elsamere Lodge.

Installation in your room and afternoon dedicated to a boat ride on the lake or a walk on Crescent Island.

Accommodation at Elsamere Lodge. Full board.

Day 3: From Lake Naivasha to Soysambu Conservancy

After your breakfast, departure by road for a drive to Soysambu Conservancy and Lake Elementaita. Arrival in time for your lunch at Lake Elementaita Serena Camp and installation in your tents before a game drive or a walking safari in the afternoon.

Accommodation at Lake Elementaita Serena Camp. Full board & game drives included.

Day 4: Soysambu Conservancy and Lake Elementaita

This day are dedicated to wildlife viewing and photography with morning and afternoon game drives and/or bush walks and a night game-drive (optional) in the sanctuary.

Day 5: From Soysambu Conservancy to Lake Nakuru

After your breakfast, departure by road for a short drive to Lake Nakuru where you will arrive in time for your lunch at your lodge. Afternoon of game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park.

Accommodation at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Full board & game drives included.

Day 6: From Lake Nakuru to Lake Baringo

After your breakfast, departure by road for a 2 ½ hours drive to Lake Baringo.

Arrival at your lodge for your lunch and boat drive on the Lake in the afternoon.

Accommodation at Tumbili Cliff Lodge. Full board & boat drives included.

Day 7: Lake Baringo and Lake Bogoria

This day can be spent either on Lake Baringo or as a full day excursion on the shores of Lake Bogoria. Such and excursion offers the possibility of observing and photographing the flamingoes of Lake Bogoria if they are present at the time of travel.

Accommodation at Tumbili Cliff Lodge. Full board & boat drives included.

Day 8: From Lake Baringo to Samburu National Reserve

After an early last boat drive on the lake, or a dryland bird walk, and breakfast departure by road for Samburu National Reserve.

Picnic lunch “en route” and arrival in the reserve in the afternoon. Game drive “en route” and arrival for dinner at Elephant Bedroom Camp.

Accommodation at Elephant Bedroom Camp. Full board & boat drives included.

Day 9 and 10: Samburu National Reserve

These days are dedicated to wildlife viewing and photography with morning and afternoon game drives in the reserve.

Day 11: From Samburu National Reserve to Nairobi

After breakfast, departure by road to the Ngare Ndare Forest for a forest walk, which will allow the observation of forest wildlife and birds (timing of your return flight permitting).

Picnic lunch “en route” and return to Nairobi in the afternoon to allow you to freshen up in a day room at Macushla House before being driven to a restaurant of your choice for your dinner (on own account) and thereafter transferred to Nairobi – Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your return flight.

Optional itinerary extension – Kakamega Forest National Park

Day 12: From Nairobi to Kakamega Forest National Park

After your night in Nairobi, at Macushla House, and your breakfast, transfer to Nairobi – JKIA Airport for a scheduled flight to Kisumu where our representative will meet you and transfer you to Rondo Retreat in the Kakamega Forest National Park where you will arrive for lunch.

Afternoon of bird walk in the national park with a specialised birding guide.

Accommodation at Rondo Retreat . Full board & activities included.

Day 13: Kakamega Forest National Park

This day is dedicated to wildlife viewing and especially bird observation and photography with morning and afternoon bird walks in the Kakamega Forest National Park.

Day 14: From Kakamega Forest National Park to Nairobi

Morning bird walk in the Kakamega Forest National Park.

After lunch at the retreat, transfer for Kisumu Airport for a scheduled flight to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will have the opportunity to dine (on own account) before boarding your plane to fly back to Europe.
