A safari to observe the Tanzanian wildlife at its peak season

Day 1: Arrival at Arusha

Arrival at Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet and greet and transfer to Rivertrees Country Lodge for the night. Bed & Breakfast.

Day 2: From Arusha to the Southern area of the Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, leave your lodge for a regular flight to the reserve where the seasonal mobile camp has been set up.

The decision of exact camp location in the Southern Serengeti will be taken a few months before the safari depending on the progress of the migration to ensure that the camp is positioned optimally. All other safari parameters remain unchanged and are independent of the location.

Meet and greet on the airstrip closest to your camp and transfer to the camp where you will arrive for lunch. Privatised game drives “en route” and in the afternoon.

Night at the mobile seasonal camp. Full board & game drives included.

Day 3 and day 4: Southern area of the Serengeti National Park

These days on safari are devoted to the observation and photography of the wildlife, the wildebeest migration and births as well as the landscapes.

Game drives in a privatised 4×4 vehicle and accommodation in a privatised camp.

Nights at the mobile seasonal camp. Full board & game drives included.

Day 5: From the Southern area of the Serengeti National Park to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After your morning game drive, transfert by car to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Picnic lunch and game drive “en route”.

Arrival at Olduvai Tented Camp in the afternoon or in time for dinner.

Night at the Olduvai Tented Camp. Full board & game drives included.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

This day on safari is devoted to the observation and photography of the wildlife, the wildebeest migration and births as well as the landscapes.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

To take advantage of the proximity of the Ngorongoro Crater, this day is dedicated to a safari and game drives in the exceptional area.

Drive by a direct road to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the caldera for a game drive of 6 hours (maximum permitted). Picnic in the crater and game drive in the afternoon.

Return to the camp with game drive “en route”.

Night at the Olduvai Tented Camp. Full board & game drives included.

Day 8: From the reserves of the north of Tanzania to Arusha

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for a scheduled morning flight to Arusha Airport.

On arrival you will be greeted by our representative who will take you to a hotel near to the international airport, Arusha Planet Lodge, for lunch (on own account) and to allow you to refresh and relax in a “day room”.

You will then be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight or your flight to your next destination.

Indicative price:

From £ 5,050 per person on the basis of 4 participants sharing two double or twin rooms or tents.

From £ 6,090 per person on the basis of 2 participants sharing one double or twin room or tent.

The final budget will be communicated after establishing a personalised quotation that will depend on the exchange rates at the time.

– The game drives and activities indicated in the itinerary in a privatised 4×4 vehicle (with roof hatch for game viewing) driven by a specialised driver-guide

– All airport transfers

– Scheduled flights from Arusha to the Southern zone of the Serengeti and from Manyara Airstrip to Arusha. Maximum lugage weight of 15kg per person including hand lugage.

– 1 night at Arusha at Rivertrees Country Lodge (3*** or equivalent), in a room with private en-suite bathroom and toilets. Bed & breakfast only.

– 3 nights at a privatised seasonal mobile camp in the Southern Serengeti, in a canvas tent with private en-suite bathroom and toilets. Full board.

– 3 nights at Olduvai Tented Camp, in a tent with private en-suite bathroom and toilets. Full board.

– 1 day room at Arusha at Arusha Planet Lodge (equivalent 3***) in a room with private en-suite bathroom and toilets.

– Drinks (water, fruit juices, coffee, tea) at the seasonal mobile camp except wines, beer, alcohol, spirits and Champagne

– All Park Fees and Camping Fees (subject to possible changes)

– An issurance AMREF Flying Doctors Emergency Evacuation

– Electricity inverters in all vehicles for charging camera & computer batteries

– International flights to Tanzania (Arusha) and return

– Travel and other insurances (cancellation, repatriation, luggage, other risks, etc.)

– Visas to be purchased at arrival in Tanzania ($50 / person in cash, indicative, subject to changes) – Meals not mentioned or mentioned as “free” in the itinerary (e.g. dinner on last day)

– Drinks (beer, wine, spirits) other than the ones mentioned

– Any extras of personal nature, tips, laundry and drinks not mentioned in the program, etc.
